Oh my! I cannot recall the last time I made a baby card. Years? I just feel all thumbs when it comes to making a card for wee ones!
I like the SU! color combo for this card: Gable Green, Bashful Blue, and Barely Banana. The elephant was stamped using Bashful Blue ink and the star [...]

I hope your Christmas Day was full of good cheer, warmth, and love!
Here’s a super bright card to bring some warmth to your day. I used SU!’s Crushed Curry for the card base and matted with Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP (115675). I used SU!’s Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set ( 113734) to [...]
I thought it would be fun to take on Verve’s monthly card challenges. After struggling with the first week’s sketch challenge I am not so sure.
The card you are looking at really really came close to going in to the trash can. Now it is growing on me—a little bit. I also took a peek at the second week’s sketch challenge. Eeeks! Now I know why the word "challenge" is used.
Today was a beautiful day and I had my heart set on swimming laps at a nearby outdoor swimming pool. One problem though—the pool was closed for repairs. So, I did some strength training instead which to me is not near as fun.
Have you got all your holiday cards mailed? I have mailed a few with many more cards to get ready for mailing. My goal is to have all my holidays card mailed by end of this week. Now if you believe that…

SU!’s retired stamp set, Snowflakes, is an oldie yet a goodie to me. The large snowflake from this stamp set was used for today’s cards focal point.
The snowflake was stamped on SU!’s Night of Navy paper (cut out using a Spellbinder circle die) with Encore Gold and embossed with SU!’s gold embossing powder. A gold [...]
Oh my goodness! We are in the last month of 2009! It really is true…the older you get the faster the years go by!
I was a little skeptical about taking on StampTVs latest sketch challenge (STVSC40). My problem being my brain seems wired toward straight lines and geometrical shapes. Hey, I was in the High Tech industry for over 30+ years—that may help explain a little on my brain wiring.
Maybe that excuse will help in understanding why it is SO coloring outside of the lines for me to have a card mat ‘askew’ on a card front.
Now here’s a giggle—I really love my completed card! There’s hope for me yet! Now, more about the card itself.
I ran the SU!’s Brushed Gold card stock mat layer through my Big Shot using a Christmas themed texturz embossing plate. Next time I will use one to two sheets of card stock to act as shims to get a better impression. I tried this approach with another piece of card stock and the impressions were more prominent.
SU!’s Two-Way Glue Pen was used to apply SU!’s Gold Glitter to the poinsettia flower centers. This is such an easy and controllable way to add glitter to your craft project. Be forewarned! I am in a glitter mood now!!
