If you have a moment check the bottom of this post for a picture of a whale's tail that I took while kayaking.
Today's color scheme: Sahara Sand (card base), Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie and Sweet Pea DSP (Occasions mini-catalog – pg. 33)
Ribbon: Pumpkin Pie grosgrain
Stamp set: Whimsical Words
I scored the Sahara Sand 4 1/4 x 11" at 5 1/2" and then cut off an inch from the front card flap. The card flap was edged with the Scallop Trim Border punch (Sale-A-Bration – pg. 9). I attached a 1" x 4 1/4" strip of Sweet Pea DSP to the inside card flap. The sentiment from Whimsical Words was stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink on Whisper White paper. Yep, another quick-n-easy card for you. I wanted to use the flowered paper from the Sweet Pea DSP to draw the card recipient's eye to the stamped sentiment. Here's another view of the card:
This view helps provide a perspective of the card being partially opened.
Whale Tail!
This is a photo showing the end of the whale's tail as it glides back in to the ocean. We were kayaking outside of Kawaihae Harbor (Big Island – West Side) and I did my best to grab a whale shot. You never know when or where you are going to spot a whale. I also have the camera packed away so that means digging it out, getting it turned on, and then trying to snap a picture from a bobbing kayak. My husband was working on re-rigging my line so that's why the fishing line looks funny. OK—the whale's tail!
