Little Red Bird

Sizzlet Christmas Tree shaperIt’s hard to tell that this card was created using SU!’s Movers and Shapers Bigz die and a tree die.  The next photo is a side view so you can see the cut out Christmas tree.   The little red bird sitting on top of the tree was made using SU!’s Merry Details Sizzlits Die (116823).  I cut his little legs off so he could better serve as my tree ornament.  :-)

Today’s card base was made from Whisper White paper.  The card front is covered with retired SU! Christmas DSP that was also ran through my Big Shot using the Movers & Shapers die.  The trick is to not move the cutting die (in this case, the tree) so you can achieve perfect line up.  The Christmas Tree was made from Always Artichoke paper.  The ribbon is non-SU!.

Stamp on and with Aloha!

  1. Love this fun tree card. Now if only SU would carry this pine tree Sizzix die. It cuts so much cleaner than when I use a craft knife to cut out the O Christmas Tree outline. Looks great with the paper too is that Wintergreen DSP?

  2. Aloha Jean! I think it is Wintergreen DSP on this card. I am down to a couple sheets now and feel a little reluctant to use them. The ‘hording’ syndrome!!!

I’d love for SU! to come out with more dies for our Movers & Shapers. A Christmas tree would be oh so nice!

I hope you are staying warm and ready for the Holidays!

    Aloha Jan
