Oh my goodness! We are in the last month of 2009! It really is true…the older you get the faster the years go by!
I was a little skeptical about taking on StampTVs latest sketch challenge (STVSC40). My problem being my brain seems wired toward straight lines and geometrical shapes. Hey, I was in the High Tech industry for over 30+ years—that may help explain a little on my brain wiring.
Maybe that excuse will help in understanding why it is SO coloring outside of the lines for me to have a card mat ‘askew’ on a card front.
Now here’s a giggle—I really love my completed card! There’s hope for me yet! Now, more about the card itself.
I ran the SU!’s Brushed Gold card stock mat layer through my Big Shot using a Christmas themed texturz embossing plate. Next time I will use one to two sheets of card stock to act as shims to get a better impression. I tried this approach with another piece of card stock and the impressions were more prominent.
SU!’s Two-Way Glue Pen was used to apply SU!’s Gold Glitter to the poinsettia flower centers. This is such an easy and controllable way to add glitter to your craft project. Be forewarned! I am in a glitter mood now!!
