It feels oh so good to be home and feels great to be making and posting cards again!
I took on the Mojo Monday Week 114 sketch challenge as a way to help me get back in to the swing of things. The sketch challenge did not seem overly complicated as compared to some past Mojo sketch challenges. Trust me—’complicated’ anything would have my brain screaming NO! Usually it takes me a day or two before I feel back to normal after airplane travel.
I chose SU!’s Holiday Best stamp set and used the "Merry Christmas" stamp for the focal point. I stamped the image on Whisper White paper using Always Artichoke ink with the cardinal colored in with SU!’s Real Red marker. SU!’s 1 3/4" circle punch is perfect for punching out the stamped image. SU!’s Original Die Circles #2 was used to create the Real Red 2" circle layering mat. Tip: Use a blender pen to remove the Always Artichoke ink from the cardinal and apply color of choice with your SU! marker is a simple and easy way to select and color.
I stamped the image again using Real Red ink on a scrap piece of the retired Christmas DSP. I cut out the Merry Christmas sentiment and used snail adhesive to apply over the stamped Merry Christmas sentiment.
