Today I worked real hard on getting 30+ cards staged for assembly. Tomorrow I will head over to my friend’s home ("Waimea" Nancy) to assemble the cards while having a good time chit-chatting with Nancy. Poor Nancy—she broke her ankle several days ago! I know from personal experience that a broken ankle is the absolute pits!
My mission of 100 Christmas cards for our Troops overseas will be achieved with the completion of the 30+ staged cards. I will do one more count to verify there are at least 100 completed Christmas cards. Next mission? Creating anything BUT a Christmas Card for a bit!
I used Verve stamps on today’s cards. The wreath was stamped on SU!’s Whisper White paper using black ink. The flowers were colored in using a Copic marker (R29 – Real Red) and bow using an Old Olive marker pen. The sentiment was stamped using Real Red ink. Certainly Celery was used for the card base and Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White, and Dashes DSP (retired) were used for the mats. I used Real Red grosgrain ribbon as an embellishment.
The second card has the same layout as the first. I used a different design from the Dashes DSP (retired), Old Olive for the card base, and Old Olive grosgrain ribbon as an embellishment.
I forget how many cards were made using this layout. I just know I spent a lot of relaxing time coloring the poinsettia flowers and bows!
Enjoy the weekend!
Stamp on and with Aloha! Aloha Jan
