November?!

Scenic SeasonHow did it get to be November?  Happy 1st of November to you!

Today’s card is one of 23 cards of this design that I’ll be making for sending to our Troops overseas.  The card base is Handsome Hunter.   The snow scene from SU!’s Scenic Season stamp set was stamped using Handsome Hunter ink.  To enhance the feeling of snow under the trees I used a SU! blender pen to pull color from a Bordering Blue ink pad and applied it just below each stamped tree.  What occurred to me after I took the photo was to add glitter to the spots where I added Bordering Blue ink.  So, I will be using SU!’s two-way glue pen and applying it to the snow mounds and then pouring on the glitter.  That’ll add some pizzaz to the card!

Even though I dropped my Scallop edge punch on the cement floor (oh, horrors for me!) it never skipped a beat in punching out 23 Real Red scallop edge punches.  The small scallop punch was used to punch out 23 Merry Christmas sentiments (Tags on Board, Retired) stamped using Real Red ink on scrap pieces of Whisper White paper.

I have 88 cards to go to reach my goal of 100 cards for our Troops overseas.  I have 22 of today’s card staged with just the card fronts left to be stamped and of course assembling the cards.  The problem is my assistant, Alice (Meow—my cat), has arrived on the scene and has made herself quite at home on top of my desk.  I’ll figure out a win-win situation for us both—at least that’s my game plan!

Stamp on and with Aloha! Aloha Jan
