Happy Anniverysary Mom & Dad

Verve StampsThis is the card I made for my parents who will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on September 9th.   I wish now that I had added some small brads below the sentiment.  My parents prefer simple and I know they’ll be thrilled with the card I made for them on their special day.

Ooops—I lost track of time and Taylored Expressions is on to a new challenge.  This card is based on Taylored Expressions TESC79 sketch challenge.  I do have a tendency to forget what day it is!  Anyway, here’s what the sketch challenge look liked:  TESC79(sketch)

Today’s card base is white.  The remainder of the card consists of brushed copper, brushed silver, old and very much retired copper-colored vellum paper.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, dusted with copper embossing powder, and set with a heat gun.  The decor background panel was stamped with Versamark, then alternately dusted with copper and silver embossing powder, and set with a heat gun.

Verve’s Wishful Elegance stamp set (love the background stamp in this set) was used in making this card.  I just love Verve Stamps!  I still love SU! stamps too.  When you are addicted to stamping there’s a lotta love for stamps and my pocket book can support that assertion! winking

Just a quick side note before I start watching the latest Netflix that has arrived (Life on Mars—great British show!).  We caught a 14-pound Mahi Mahi today while we were out kayaking.  My husband lost his Mahi Mahi though.  His fish did this spectacular leap out of the water and threw the hook.   We like to view a long distance release of a fish as leaving some bounty in the ocean.  Oh yeah!  There was something very, very strange looking just below the ocean’s surface as we were headed back in to the dock.  It was a fish and all I could tell husband was don’t stop paddling—keep going!  I don’t know if it was a shark or what—I just didn’t want to investigate.  We have seen one shark up close and personal while out kayaking/fishing.  I must say once is enough!

Stamp on and with Aloha! Aloha Jan
