Aloha! Today I am headed for Alaska and will be gone for two weeks. If I can find an internet connection I’ll post pictures from my Alaskan trip. Warning! My Alaska plans include fishing for salmon and halibut. So do be ready for a photo with a fish in it.
Today’s card is a combo of challenges: Card Patterns Sketch 24 and Color Throwdown #52 (Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum). The card is a combination of SU!’s long-retired Meow Meow stamp set and TAC’s (don’t remember the stamp set name). I’m going to be missing my furry assistant (Alice—Meow!) and wanted my last card to have a cat theme. As I type this post Alice is curled up next to me catching a quick nap.
I am going to be offering B-L-O-G C-A-N-D-Y after I get back and unpacked. I have got two weeks to figure out what fun stuff for some lucky person to win.

I really love this Verve stamp set because it comes with other flower types stamping options besides the tulips. I chose to use tulips for this 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" card. The tulips were stamped on white paper using SU!’s Cameo Coral ink and then cut out. The plant itself was stamped using retired SU! In-Color Blue Bayou. The SU! DSP in the background is retired and happened to be within easy reaching distance. Now you know how I determined today’s color scheme—run with whatever the DSP in hand has got going on.
Mojo Monday week 96 sketch challenge was used to create this card. I just didn’t have the Mojo to come up with something on my own after cleaning house and cooking most of the day. Besides, I thought the sketch was a great one and also perfect for my Spellbinder dies. OK, I was feeling lazy if the truth is to be told.
I hope you enjoy today’s card!!

The Sweet Stop Saturday Sketch Challenge (SSS13) has spin on this week’s sketch challenge: use a Christmas image. I’m a certain that this the earliest in the year that I have ever made a Christmas card. I think I’ll send this to my good friend from childhood days. She teases me that my Christmas cards [...]

I am somewhat at a loss for how to do great photo shots of a card made using SU!’s Movers and Shapers BigZ die. Here’s my M&S card lying flat and closed. The next photo shows the opening made by the Punch Windows Movers die; Modern Label (see SU!’s IB&C pgs. 200-201).
I really like SU!’s (OK—I [...]
[Woops. Sorry for the shadows on the card! I just noticed them and will take a better photo at the first opportunity I have.] OK—it’s been a while since I have done a StampTV (http://stamptv.ning.com/) card sketch challenge so I thought, what the heck, lets live a little bit on the wild side. Since I want to be a tad bit on the wild side I decided to use StampTV’s freebie digital paper called "Rich and Shabby". A little racy for my heart but you only live once, right? Just to keep me from getting too wild I also chose a digital paper from the "Great Outdoors" selection. I chose SU!’s Chocolate Chip for the card’s base and Rose Red as a layering panel.
All-in-all, a card that goes together fairly quick and no stamping required. I used a rub-on sentiment instead of stamping one.
I ended up using two shims before my SU! sizzlit die, "Little Leaves" (114511, IB&C pg. 196, $5.50) would pop out nicely. It may be time for me to purchase a new standard cutting pad (113475, IB&C pg. 194, $8.95).
